Inter-municipal Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired Čačak

The Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired is based in Cacak and covers the adjoining
municipalities of Upper Milanovac, Lučani and Ivanjica.

 

The association provides a day centre for the blind and visually impaired where they can meet, socialise and use the facilities at the centre.
 

The organization received funding from the BSBT for four laptops with speech recognition/synthesis
software and a multifunction printer. The equipment will be used by members for their education,
to access information, communicate with each other, read books, and listen to music, … “ to open
their eyes to the world”.

The target group was blind and visually impaired persons who are members of the organisation,
aged 7-20 years (school age) and also middle-aged people interested in computer training.
